What is a prosthodontist?

Prosthodontics is one of nine recognized specialities by the American dental association.

To become a prosthodontist, Dentists must complete additional three years of training after dental school at an accredited specialty program, to become the experts in dental rehabilitation. Prosthodontists master many procedures including porcelain veneers, dental implants, and crowns and bridges. Their extensive training includes reviews of the literature, lectures, treatment of patients and laboratory experience in fabricating restorations.

Prosthodontist rigorous training enables them to look at the entire picture, provide comprehensive dental care with pleasant esthetic results, and dazzling beautiful smiles. A prosthodontist is the skilled architect who can restore proper function and appearance to your smile.
